Alpine skiing
Where could winter be better than on a snowy mountain top? Your skiing vacation is guaranteed because we always have snow in masses on the summits around. The area offers about 220 kilometers of slopes that can be reached easily by bus or by car. It is up to you. Decide if you want to ski on the glacier or directly take the telepheric to the skiresorts around Lanersbach. A wide spread first class skiing area that leaves nothing to be desired – even when your are looking for snacks at ski lodges. A total of 29 lodges are at your disposal.
Nordic skiing
Cross-country skiing is a Jung's well for each. With almost no other sport muscles and joints are so strengthened and spared at the same time. The ski walking is the spring for fitness and top figure! „Cross-country skiing holds young!“
Skating or classis style? How ever, everything is possible. Right behind our hotel you access to the cross-country ski runs and skating slopes which run along the river through the valley. In total there are 14 kilometers of slopes.

Nature´s Ice Palace
Mystical ice forms, glittering ice crystals in breathtaking surroundings,...experience NATURE´S ICE PALACE at the Hintertux Glacier.
The ice journey begins only 200 m away form the highest point of the Hintertux Glacier. A secure path leads from the viewing platform at the Gefrorenen Wand (3.250 m), with one of the most beauntiful views over the mountains of Zillertal, to the Palace Gateway. After a safety equipment check (helmet, belt with 2 safty loops) the path leads, using hand rails, to the entire labyrinth wich has developed over the years entirely naturally without any humans influence whatsoever. The mystical glacial blue vestibule chamber is the first point of the tour, where the turquoise colours provide an amazing visual experience.
The highlight of the tour is then visiting the "Ice Palace" situated around 25 metres directly under the ski pistes. The perfect ice formations in this palace, with an awe inspiring height of 15 metres, will simply take your breath away! Is there a more creative architect than Mother Nature?
