Year-round Hintertuxer glacier ski area

Guaranteed snow all year for skiers and snowboarders

The valley station, served by the Gletscherbus 1-3, is only 2km from the four-star Berghaus Alpine Hotel in Madseit. From here, you can be in the heart of the glacial ski area in no time! 3,250m above sea level, 60km of pistes – 14 easy, 35 medium and 11 hard – linked by 20 cable cars and lifts await you. There’s a ski hire shop on the glacier for those spontaneous skiers among you and the Gletscherflohpark with snow tyre carousel, tubing and baby lift will keep the little ones entertained.
The Hintertuxer glacier has long been a world renowned hot spot for snowboarders and free skiers. From the end of May to mid-September, the Betterpark has five lines in store for beginners and aficionados alike. From December to April, three lines are available at the Family Park, snow conditions permitting. Non-skiers will also be in their element here, as the view from the panorama terrace is one of a kind. Nature’s Ice Palace (located in a glacial crevasse) and the Spannagel caves (marble show caves) are well worth a visit.
