E-Bike Rental

The e-bike is ready and waiting inside the house

You can rent e-bikes (with helmets included) right here at the hotel for 42 euros per person per day. You can set off right from the front door in the morning—no need to load a bike onto your car's roof.

Our partner, Bernhard Sportmode, provides the bikes—with new models every summer season—and they are serviced weekly. Guided e-bike tours are also part of the weekly program; you’ll be accompanied by Thomas or Markus Fankhauser from the host family. If you bring your own bike, you can store it overnight in the bike storage area, which is connected to the main building via a tunnel.

Bike Tours

Three hikes that start in the valley

Tux-Finkenberg offers 150 kilometers of trails for mountain bikes and e-bikes. Three of these trails start just a few minutes from the hotel, and each one leads to a mountain hut where you can stop for a break.

The figures are from the Tux-Finkenberg Tourism Association. All three tours are rated as moderate.

Via the Bichlalm to the Tuxer Joch

From Hintertux · 9 km · 853 m elevation gain · moderate

Head up to the Tuxerjochhaus at 2,313 meters; along the way, stop for a break at the Bichlalm. If you want to continue, drive down 66 hairpin turns to Kasern in the Schmirntal. This route is 13.5 km long and is rated as difficult.

Höllensteinhütte and Grieralm

From Lanersbach · 12.5 km · 565 m elevation gain · moderate

The trail leads to two huts that you may already be familiar with from hiking. There is a charging station for the battery at the Höllensteinhütte.

Cheese Trail to Stoankasern

Starting in June · 12 km · 640 m elevation gain · moderate

The destination is the Stoankasern mountain cheese dairy on the Junsalm, at an elevation of 1,984 meters. There, milk from over 100 cows is turned into Bergtilsiter, Rotschmierkäse, and butter.

Charge on the go

You can charge the battery at the cabin

There are four charging stations for Bosch batteries in the Tux Valley: at the Höllensteinhütte, the Eggalm, the Bichlalm, and the Sommerbergalm on the glacier. While you take a break, the battery charges for the return trip.

At the Eggalm, the Hintertux Glacier, and the Finkenberger Almbahnen, mountain bikes ride the mountain railway for free. This way, you can save yourself part of the climb and have more energy for the descent.
